This sculpture is composed of 50 plus life size doll heads. I craft these heads through a photo transfer process. Traditionally, the face is configured as the marker of the “human,” yet facial signifiers can replace ethical consideration for real bodies. In creating these doll heads, I return the face back to the body through the 3-dimensionality of the face thereby embracing the multidimensionality of the bodies. Further dismantling the head from the body is not meant to create a sense of death, but rather to open the body to new links and layers within a landscape.
