This photographic series is an exploration into notions of interconnectivity, autobiographical memory and basic human gesture. The models for the hands are friends and family and act as a point of reference for the hand sculptures that capture and accentuate natural extensions of implicit communication. The hands, made from a photo transfer process on fabric, are crafted and staged against urban landscapes in the city. They play with the delicate relationship between what is whole and incomplete, noise and silence, implicit and explicit. The series looks to challenge notions of performance, sculpture and movement through these petite interjections throughout the city. The outcome invites the viewer to imagine a higher fidelity toward communication and human interaction.
